Har Sinai Temple works with Homefront of Lawrence Township by donating food each month. Our members provide cooked chicken and fruit to feed the hungry in our area. The cooked chicken includes 25 leg quarters (the cut includes a thigh, drumstick and a part of the back) prepared simply with a light coating of oil, salt and pepper. The cooked chicken is delivered to Har Sinai by 2:00 p.m. on the due date or can be delivered earlier and placed in the freezer at the Temple. The fresh fruit includes 25 individual pieces such as apples, pears, oranges, etc and is delivered the week of the due date. To volunteer, please sign up using the link below. Scroll down to the date(s) you are interested in and click the box for one of the four spots for chicken or one of the spots for fruit. You may sign up for as many months as you’d like.
